Telecaster Plans

Post by Brent Barnard »

I have looked all over the site and cannot find the telecaster plans that everyone tells me is here. Can anyone point me to the right direction to find tele blueprints?

Thanks in advance

Hi Hollywood and welcome. Please note that we require the use of real (first & last) names on this forum. Please forward me or one of the mods your info and we'll update your registration. As for the plans, I'm still working on getting those, sorry.

These are the most complete free plans I have found. I'm working on a Tele right now using these, and have yet to find an omission.

Also check out this tread...WAY Too Cool not to share. A guy is actually making a playable 3d plan tele (think of it as a plancaster):

There are a few very talented builders on the other forum so I like to follow their build challenge, but if you actually have questions or are seeking advice, this is where you need to go.

Brent, there used to be a plan section at the old forum and you could purchase copies, but I don't know if that got ported over and I'm pretty sure that Deb's plotter permanently died (at one time I helped her with some parts). And while there are no actual plans with it, the Melvyn Hiscock book has building a tele as one of the three featured guitars - lots of really helpful information. With that and a few basic measurements I think you could make your own.
