I am going to do some neck through guitars this year and wanted to use tapered layers. In thinking about jigs to accurately I wondered if anyone had something that worked well for them and would be willing to share a picture?!?

A tapering jig for table legs would work, that's where you clamp the wood to a sled at an angle, before cutting it.

Jarno nailed it. The nice part is that you’ll only be tapering on one axis, not two.

It depends on what tool you will be using. I made a tapered laminate on my Performax abrasive planer by taping cross pieces of wood of increasing thickness on the back of the laminate.

On the jointer/planer is also an option, but the ones with a cutting head are scary enough in my opinion. It's a valid option for sure, but seeing it being performed, gave me shivers (maybe it's my inexperience with a jointer). https://youtu.be/KQ9wHA17FD0?si=1mDSewls2APcyNYF
The drawback of the table saw jig is that you need to expose quite a bit of blade, but if you make the jig wide enough you can keep your hands far away.

Come to think of it, it might be a US/UK english thing, do you mean a jig on a thickness planer? I can imagine that is pretty safe, but how does that work with the transport rolls? Or is that manual feed?
