Neck mishap

Hello! I've built a guitar to a friend 10 years ago and he told me the neck twisted a bit because of humidity where he lived for a time.

I was routing to emove the fretboard and level, then add a new fretboard and dang happened. I did something that the router made a slightly deeper path on the treble side.

I can put a veneer and sand it to level and it will be level-wise ok, but I'm a bit worried about gluing the fretboard over a patch of veneer.

Do you think it will withstand the force of the strings?
The lower path is in the white line

Thanks a lot

Or just make a new neck. The existing neck already has two serious issues.

I've talked with my friend and we decided to make a new neck from scratch
Thanks for the idea!
