Gibson A headstock break

Seems my post from last week got lost in the server swap! But not before I received excellent advise.
I spent about 60 minutes gently picking out crushed grain and associated splinters along the break, then glued it together using hot hide glue. It came together well enough, but I wouldnt say perfectly, in spite of my effort with the dental pic. I'll string it up next (i'll need to cut a new nut first) and enjoy it's company for a while. We'll see how strong /stable it is soon enough, before deciding whether it needs a spline for additional support.
Thanks again for the guidance. Js
