I use my WEN bandsaw for a lot of things, but I don't think it will cut a neck blank out of a 3x4x24 Spanish Cedar blank.
Has anyone done this with this type of small consumer bandsaw?

I too am mightily small. Just finished up the last of several hundred board feet of Spanish Cedar I bought a quarter century ago (used for trim work, not instruments). I’d be leery of this if it was maple, but Spanish cedar should be ok. Just use an appropriate tpi/blade and take it slow and steady - let the blade do its work at the rate it’s most comfortable at.

If you can find a 1/4 inch skip tooth blade (3tpi) it might cut thick stock a little easier because the extra gullet space allows the saw dust to have a place to go.

I buy my blades from Suffolk Machinery they have all sorts of tooth styles and they weld to any length your saw needs. Good people, I’ve used them for years.
