Greetings. With the apparent closing of Acme Archtops under the new ownership it is getting difficult to source laminated plates.

Anyone have any tips

Thanks

Make your own? We have had a lot of previous discussions here on the process. I have made a few and its not too difficult once you get a few issues worked out.

Ken Macay used to make and sell laminated plates. You might want to contact him.

Hi! Can I find any video tutorials there?

No tutorials available, but if you search the library you can find multiple threads on the subject.

Here is a link to one: http://www.mimf.com/old-lib/laminated_a ... plates.htm

I bought a book about laminated guitars and the guy used one (1) page to explain (poorly) how to do the lamination. I didn't even understand how to make the gig, how to put and glue the veneers.
Worst money spent ever.
Will try to source here material. ES175 and alikes are very popular here
