Nathan Noel's "Faith" tele.

Post by Nathan Noel »

Here's one that I built back in the fall. I don't think I posted pics of it here. It's got a chambered 1 piece Honduras Mahogany back, curly maple top and neck, ebony board. Wilkinson term, Schaller locking tuners, Dimarzio Air Classic Pickups, mother of pearl inlays. But swing as how I'm posting teles...

Ha, actually the guy that I built that guitar for asked for that to be inlaid. He has the same thing tattooed on his arm.

Here's a clip of the guitar in action.

Nathan, I'm in Brasil. The only deeply figured top I have known and used from a local wood is Louro/Canela, wich is beautiful but still second to maple IMO, also it have a darker (yellowish) color than maple wich is not the best candidate for staining. I can import maple tops (for some reason you can't import every wood species) but they raise the price of the instrument quite a bit.

I'm usually an Anti Gold Hardware guy myself, it was done at the customer's request... I even tried to talk him out of it. But now that it's done I think it was a good choice for this guitar, it's pretty well blinged out...
