Rubbermaid storage bin downdraft table

Post by Jason Rodgers »

The latest StewMac Trade Secrets video showed up in my email today, and Dan is pretty clever to use a Rubbermaid storage bin as a dust collection box for the router. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS-4X0AyebM

There have been a lot of discussions over the years about building a downdraft box, and all the various funneling or chambering you need to do to make a "real" one. As long as you're not too worried about those details, and your vacuum or dust collector doesn't collapse the box, this would be a great solution. It's light-weight, there are many sizes to choose from, and the bin could store your router and fit on a shelf when not in use!

I saw that too, and thought it was a pretty good idea.
I need your help. I can't possibly make all the mistakes myself!
