I saw a renowned luthier from my zone that crafted a 7 string guitar with EMG active pickups, the neck one has a red EMG logo, so far I only have seen Chinese counterfeit using the red EMG logo, but I learned the dual coil EMG89 also uses a red logo, but I also learned there are no such thing as EMG89 for 7 strings (so far)

checked EMG official page and no EMG89 for 7 strings




where can I get a 7-string EMG89? I can't see it anywhere, only on 6 strings; I trust people on this forums have a vast knowledge of pickups, there are 7 string EMG89 pickups?

edit*: maybe one can order custom pickups from EMG?

It might be a custom order from EMG but the shell looks like a bass pickup. It might even be an EMG 35 bass pickup.
