Reclaimed material builds

Post by Schennelly Stoughton »

These are the guitars I made from reclaimed wood from an old piano. We were given a better piano than we had , so I thought I would salvage what I could from the old one. The sides and support members were solid ash.Nothing better than a Tele made of ash.Made one for my nephew , my youngest son and one for myself. I think they turned out well.

Nice.

I think it's very cool to build a guitar - or whatever - from an old piano. I'd do it myself if the "reclaiming" part wasn't so labor intensive. ;)

So true I don't think I would do it again . Did get some good money for the scrap metal though. :)
