Following up a bit on G.S. Monroe's recent question re: installation of an LR Baggs T-Bridge... Not long ago I also picked up an LR Baggs T-Bridge and Ctrl-X preamp. I'm planning to have a bit of fun by pairing it with a single aftermarket P-90 in a frankenstein-ed Melody Maker clone.
The Ctrl-X has a small pushbutton that switches between mono (which provides a choice of magnetic, piezo, or a blend) and stereo (piezo on one channel, mag on the other) modes. After mulling it over for a while, I'm leaning towards NOT installing the button's head through the pickguard and sticking with mono full time. Good idea or tragic blunder? Any and all opinions would be sincerely appreciated.

If your never going to run to two amps or need the ability to run two signals for recording I dont see any issue. For me I always want to have every option I can at the touch of a button. If you didnt want the button, you could drill a hole the size of you smallest allen wrench in the PG. You could use that to switch if needed.
Its not like you cant drill the hole for the button later if you find you may need it.

Ah, I like the stealthy little hole approach. Great idea - thanks Steve. As I'm getting older and more cantankerous, I find myself tending more towards the "KISS" principle. Too many five pound swiss army knives in my past... time for a simple two bladed pocket knife.
