I started this classical the day after Christmas of 2012 and finished it early February. It's gone now to a good player and I'm late getting this posted, but here 'tis.
The back and sides are figured mahogany and the top is sitka spruce.
The bracing is a modified Torres bracing with a transverse brace and is the best sounding spruce classical I've built with clear separation of tones with nice trebles and a warm tone which is why the buyer wanted it.
You might note something a little out of the ordinary on this rosette, made from some "no voids" 1/2" plywood. I cut some tiles and glued them up for the rosette. Try not to run me out of town on this one.

Nice work Ernest, and yes, the back and sides are spectacular! The rosette is certainly unique- would like to see a close up if you're so inclined.

Charlie,
I indeed took a closeup of this, uh, unusual rosette and it came out mighty fuzzy. Looks like I've got to update my camera equipment as it doesn't focus properly up close. This instrument is local, but not close enough for an up close shot today, should I try it again. Sorry.

It's a beauty Ernest, the quilted mahogany is so gorgeous I want to touch it!

Also love the basket weave rosette, you should be very proud as it is not only striking, but it's subtle too as the colours blend beautifully with the rest of the instrument - a fine balance in my opinion and a thumbs up :D (if only there was an icon).

Thanks for the nice comments. I've already got two more started. Is this nuts or what? I do love it so.
