Question about Pickups

Im trying to finish my tele build. This is the first guitar I have built so I dont want any crazy expensive hardware. I have been looking at a Seymour Duncan STR1 Vintage tele rythm pickup for the neck pup. For the bridge I have been a little lost.
Does anyone have experience with the Duncan and what would be a good pair for it if so.
Thanks

It's hard to say what may match any given pickup because so much of that depends on the player and what he or she may want out of the guitar.
My advice to you would be to buy a set of pickups, and not just one. And save yourself some money by buying a set of GFS pickups from Guitar Fetish. Make sure that you get pickups with alnico magnets.

My favorite Duncan Pickup for a Tele is the Quarter-Pounder for both positions since they have a nice an thick and powerful sound. If you're more into a twangy-tone, you might want to try a different series (which I don't have a good suggestion for) or, you can order them with a "Tapped" option which gives the ability to switch to a more classic output-level.
