Finished my first build

So here is my Telecaster build, built slowly over the course of a semester.

Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard.

The only thing I need to still get is some pickups but I'm not entirely sure what I getting for those yet. I was recommended towards Lindy Fralin and Bob Lollar pickups but Ive been looking at a set of new Fender N3 noiseless pickups on craigslist which would save me a good deal of money.

You must be talking about Jason Lollars' brother Bob!
All kidding aside, those folks make great pickups. But for a first guitar, there are lots of ways to get a decent set of pickups. the GFS pickups are good, and the Stewart-Macdonald Golden Age pickups are nice too.

Nice clean work, btw.

What's the significance of the inlay?

No real significance to the inlay I suppose. I wanted to put something on the headstock but didn't really want to mess around with decals. I happened to have some rosewood strips so I just made a criss-cross shape for interest and contrast to the maple.
