Hi Ciaran,
That has been posted in the jam session before. It is an inspiring video, and reminds us that the ultimate end of our creations is the music they produce and not the visual art we sometimes make them. As an aspiring luthier you might research some of the primitive forms of musical instruments and create some from the materials around you. Dennis Havlena has created a number of different instruments from "found" materials.( Google and you tube are your friend) Reproducing them can show you some of the underlying principles of musical instruments and what is important to get right to make them musical. Perfecting the sound and function and not the form should be the first priority of building a musical instrument.
