I think we were afraid of this subject. It will go political really fast. Very interesting read but we might want to lock the comments.

I read the entire article; interesting and informative, but not one bit political. Where did you get the notion that discussing Fender will "go political really fast"??

Interesting. Hopefully, Fender will weather this storm.

The article, itself, was not political, but I can see many ways that one might comment on this in a political manner. (not that anyone here would do so!!)

How about this:
Guitar Center is owned by Bain Capital.
Somehow that just makes sense.

In general I fond the article sobering. A virtual wet blanket on my get-rich-quick scheme.
