I'm slowly working on an acoustic bass for a customer , red wood top and walnut back and sides . I really like that combo of tone woods . I will be posting some pics soon.

I just finished this Size 0. Mahogany neck and body/Euro spruce top. Just a simple guitar, nothing fancy.
My first slot head.

Thought I'd post a finished pic of the six guitars I've been working on - same order as in the pic on the first page of this thread. I learned a lot making these, particularly not to make more than one or two instruments at a time (the tedious parts get REALLY tedious), and to have the hardware in hand before I drill the holes.

Sorry Steve, I missed your request for a larger photo of the cradle boat.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for that - it's just plain cool! Let us see it when it's done.

My latest is a Tenor Guitar. I used my own plans for this and am really happy with the outcome. If anyone is interested in the plans let me know and I am happy to put up a link to them.
Back and sides: River Red Gum
Top: King Billy Pine
Neck: Recycled Cedar (from an old fence paling)
Fretboard and Bridge: River Red Gum
Top Bracing: Bunya Pine
Back Bracing: QLD Maple
I also decided to build a custom case for it as trying to find a case for a Tenor is a little harder than I expected!

Hi, Martin. I saw you post this on OLF and ANZF. Cute little thing with great colors! And I'll echo the request for a tutorial or build thread for the case.

I just finished a spalted maple/Elm Thinline. I'm also working on a bass viol, usually called a viola da gamba. I just finished the fingerboard and tailpiece inlays and border.
