This is coming along nicely! I really love the neck lamination, the proportions fit the neck size well. the peice I want to use for my neck will need center lams to be wide enough and I am trying to decide how wide is too wide for the stripes on such a small neck.
That bridge looks nice too, it fits really well with the overall shape.

I finished the tenor uke last week, but haven't been able to post until now.I sprayed it with 6 coats of Mohawk sealer, then 5 coats of Mohawk gloss instrument lacquer.

Re: Patrick DeGreve's tenor uke
So here is the materials total. I used some nice rosewood tuners I got from Ebay, but still came in under the limit.
Tuners....................................29.95
Mahogany (from a shelf)...............15.00
Fretboard and bridge....................5.00
Mohawk lacquer.........................15.00
saddle and nut...........................3.76
Total ....................................$ 68.71
A friend of mine grew up in Hawai, and playes the tenot uke. He had a Koa uke stolen from his car while on location last year. I bought a nice set of Bubinga to make him a uke a few months ago, so this was intended to be a trial run. I had never built a uke before. I took this uke to work to see what he thought, and he said he wanted this one instead of the bubinga one I had planed to make him. So this uke has a new home. He plays very well. It was great fun hearing him play this uke. This was a lot of fun!!!!!! Thanks Charlie for having this challenge. I always enjoy watching everyones projects.

Very nice and a great little story to go along with it.
