Arnt,
Your shop tour is what got me thinking about one, and I stole several ideas from you - thanks
Bob,
You can fit a heck of a lot of crap in one, but if you are thinking mobile, you might want to motorize it or start working out.
This thing weighed something like 200 lbs empty if I remember right. I remember I had to mount the case and then mount each door separately because it was too heavy to lift. Can't imagine what it weighs full, I can barely lift the plane till to get to the second one inside.

Arnt, what are the dimensions of the two rooms you have? I'm looking into building something similar in our basement and am trying to decide what sort of space to fight for.

I don't have the exact dimensions handy, but the two rooms combined are pretty close to 50m2. About 5m wide, one a little more than 5 m long, the other a little less than 5m long.

great stuff.
Jeff. You have nothing to be ashamed of.
I might just drive over to my workshop just to take pictures of how messy it is!
I'll be delivering a repaired stay plate nearby to a patient anyways.

Wow! Thanks for the complements and encouragement. I promise to post pictures of my Tele thinline and the Strat on the stool with an ugly (oh my goodness gratious) scratch.

Late post, but i like the idea of a wall mounted tool crib like randy robert shows.
Id fill mine with only the items i search for every day,all the primary tools right over the main bench. Now the space made from the primary tools becomes available can be organized next, the seldom used tools, then the ones i rarely use. Cant wait to get to it.
