MIMF

I am new to building guitars and I see that the problem was solved. However I was wondering if the "trapeze?" type device at the heel of the guitar could effect the intonation in any way. If the strings are stretched in an irregular fashion, i.e. not stretching in a usual tension, could this "rack" the guitar body wood, thereby affecting the palcement of the bridge? I have never dealt with this type of bridge system. Like I said I am new to this.

IF you put your guitar together with well fitted joints, good glue, and a good design the type of tail piece should not rack the structure. If however, your strings have been stretched over their normal limit they can and probably will show intonation issues. Never tighten strings above their recommended pitch because they can take a 'set' as they are stretched beyond their normal elasticity.
