Hi all,
I have almost finished up my favorite polish which I purchased from Stew Mac nearly 20 years ago and would love to know who the original manufacturer is/was. I think Stew Mac took an existing product and re-branded it.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Ian

Re: Looking for the OEM for this polishing compound
If it is red, it's probably red jewellers rouge, there are various suppliers for this. Folks like RS components/Mouser/Farnell have it, but also suppliers that cater to watchmakers and jewellers, probably crafts/hobby stores as well. You can get it on a hard stick, or as a paste (in various consistencies), obviously, you are looking for the paste version.
The OEM probably is only willing to sell it to you by the bucket
Found this:

Surprised to see jewellers rouge is not the best for stainless steel.

Thanks Jarno,
The actual compound is white in color and quite stiff; perhaps it is the age that has dried it out somewhat. Thanks for the link, there is some really good information there.
