Jim Bonnell's most recent build
I recently finished this take off on a Rickenbacker 800. Red Alder body with a mahogany neck. East Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Distressed finish and hardware. Two P 90s I wound myself.

That's really sweet Jim! I bet it really rips with those P-90's. Good job!

Great work Jim. I like the simplicity and the distressing makes it look like an old classic.

You do seem to be knocking them out quickly Jim. Keep up the fine workmanship!

Re: Jim Bonnell's most recent build
Nice work, Jim. I'm an old rick lover from way back. I had a 58' 450 solid body neck through that had a pewter truss rod cover embossed with the rick logo. I had to give it up in the early 70's becuase my hands got so big working as a carpenter that I couldn't play it's particularly small neck width and profile. I wound up giving it to my brother who ultimately had it rebuilt. I've been intending to clone it ever since and you have just inspired me to get going on it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Jim Bonnell's most recent build
Thanks everyone. I've really been having a great time doing them which has me a bit more motivated. Unfortunately I get excited about ideas for new projects before I finish the one I'm on. I have seven other guitars in various stages I need to finish before I start another. Focus....focus......SQUIRREL!
