I built a 21 string Kora
I built a kora and took lots of pictures along the way it really isn't that hard a project for anyone with a basic shop. I turned the bowl and the cross members but this can be made with a large bowl and dowels. The bowl and bridge are Cherry and the rest is African Mahogany. Interesting fact about these the strings are fishing line. I wrote a how to book for this project and it can seen at lulu.com book store.

I can't play it but i do have an idea how to from just watching you tube tutorials. But that's nothing new for me i can't play any of the instruments i made. That includes native American flutes, guqin, ukulele, herdy gurdy, and cigar box guitars.
