Barry,

On the off-chance do you happen to remember the diameter and pitch of the Jorgensen threads? I've tried 5/16-18, 5/16-24, M8 x 1.00 and M8 x 1.25, RH and LH, but none of them fits.

The clamp I used for my jig has 5/16-18 threads. There are different size Jorgensen clamps and they have different sized threaded rods. There is no reason that you couldn't use another size. You would just need to adjust the dimensions of the Plexiglas housing that surrounds the hardware.

My problem is in finding nuts to fit the rods on the clamps my friend gave me. The clamp kit rods from Lee Valley have 5/16-18, but the full clamps have finer threads that I can't find a match for. Don't want to do it, but I may have to resort to locking collars instead of the nuts.

Thanks Barry

I tried a few approaches for the ends. On one I just counterbored it and put in a cotter pin with a washer. Seemed to work fine.
