ACME Archtops _ Are they still in business?

Post by Andrew McSpadden »

Has anyone heard from Jonathan at ACME Archtops in Pennsylvania? I don't see a web presence any more. They made great plates for 335/339 and other archtop guitars. Thanks!

I bought two 335 sets and one single cut sets from I believe Acme in about 2014 or so. As I recall the owner was selling his inventory and closing shop, he offered me his forms and tooling. I've looked for some of the old e-mails but can't find anything.

I did build up the three guitars and you are right, the plates were excellent.

He did sell the business to a Jonathan who I had been emailing before Covid. He was doing a new 339 style after I told him about it and was almost done with the molds when I stopped hearing from him.
