... it's so great to be able to adjust the action with just the turn of a small screw through the fretboard. Here's the thread if you haven't seen it, and a pic from that thread...
That is a great feature. No, I hadn't seen that thread, thanks for posting.

Could you incorporate the concept of routing the pocket before assembly?

I probably can, but I'll have to put my thinking cap on. It would be nice if I could actually build the pocket into the heel block.
Maybe I can't fix it, but I can fix it so no one can fix it

Looking at your heel block in the other thread, I can think several ways to do it. Large glue surfaces have plenty of strength. With waterproof glue you'd need a blow torch to get them apart.

Remember, the point is NOT to make this easier. :geek:

My heel blocks are glued up anyway. Next one I glue up I'll leave out the heel pocket part. :)

But it will be awhile - I have to finish this one first, and I'm going real slow for some reason - low energy with everything that's going on I guess.

Well, here I am 5 pandemic months later - nothing much has changed for me, I'm still a hermit. I've started building a couple more guitars, and have made the heel blocks incorporating the pocket in them. Only have to route a piece of the top away, and cut away part of a side. Hopefully the pics are self-explanatory.

I'm increasingly thinking there is an acoustic guitar somewhere in my future...
