The only example I have on-hand is a Bass VI, and that has overhang values as shown below (FB edge to center of string). Am I correct that I can use something close to these values for a 4-string?

Yes. Maybe slightly more, especially toward the end of the fretboard.

Thanks, Beate. My bridge has adjustable string spacing, so I was primarily interested in overhang for nut slotting. Before I commit, I’ve been using braided fishing line (doesn’t stretch) to double-check the overhang along the entire FB. This’ll get me in the ballpark, and I’ll use your comment to give me a bit more at the heel.
