MIMF Redirection Errors
Is it just me, or are others also currently unable to open up the good old MIMF by simply typing “mimf.com”? This problem is new. Recently (last couple of days?) doing so using safari I get an error msg that “load cannot follow more than 20 redirections”. I also recently updated my iPhone OS, so there’s a possibility that fail is related to that - but the only site I’ve experienced this at is the MIMF.
The error msg made me chuckle - reminds me of espionage novels/movies... “they’ll never be able to trace our location, we’re routing through multiple redirects around the globe”.

Re: MIMF Redirection Errors
I get the same type of errors on Firefox and Chrome - apparently infinite redirect loop. A few days ago I was getting 404 error messages trying to get on. Only way I can get on the forum is start by linking to the forum index https://www.mimf.com/phpbb/
I can't get to any other parts of the site - bookstore, etc. Just redirect errors.

Maybe I can't fix it, but I can fix it so no one can fix it

Please try deleting your MIMF cookies and let us know, thanks.

Re: MIMF Redirection Errors
Didn't work for me (Chrome) - I deleted all cookies. I didn't do it on Firefox (my default browser) because I have to be on the site page to delete its cookie, and of course mimf.com doesn't load. I don't want to delete all my Firefox cookies because then I'd have to log in to multiple sites again, and besides it didn't work for Chrome.

Re: MIMF Redirection Errors
This was an issue with a file. Has nothing to do with your browser. It is now fixed.

Re: MIMF Redirection Errors
When I try to log on to the forum from the home page I get “URL not found.”
I got here by going to the FAQ page which opens but doesn’t log me in automatically.
I deleted cookies for this website by using the function at the bottom of the page.
Still ain't working. Also the “active topics” and “unanswered posts” don't appear as selections as they usually did.

I get here by going to the forum index page https://www.mimf.com/phpbb/
In the upper left corner of every page there is a "quick links" icon you can click on to get to new posts, active topics and more.

Re: MIMF Redirection Errors
Thanks Pete. That works but until about a week ago I could log in automatically from an initial yellow page of selections that included mime forum, FAQ's, bookstore, etc.Peter Wilcox wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 1:10 pm

Now even the sign on is different as it doesn’t ask me if I want to log on automatically. Something different going on.
Life gets tee-jus don't it?
