2019 Solid Body

After about 25 years of building mostly classical guitars, I decided to build a few solid body electric ones.
Here is the first, Mahogany body, maple bolt-on neck, 2 Blues engine UK humbuckers.

I tried to keep it simple. It was intended to be more a blues guitar, that’s the reason I didn’t install a tremolo.
In order to preserve the natural look of the wood, the body is stained red and then satin finished with tung oil, no filler for the grain.
The same for the curly maple neck, it was stained black and finished with tug oil.The fingerboard has simple dots of beautiful abalone
and the pickguard is made of unfinished ebony. I tried for the first time the Blues Engine ( Iron Gear, UK) a PAF design and they are really great,
very musical, warm and clear. The bridge is a 8.6 kOhm and the neck is a 7.4 kOhm.

I couldn’t find black screws for that swich. And for an excuse, the pickups screws are also chrome.
Next one (natural mahogany and maple) is going to have all the hardware in chrome.
