Acoustic/electric dobro mod

Post by Peter Wilcox »

Nothing to it electronically - just physically fitting stuff in, but I guess this is the place for it. Since I just finished my new dobro, I thought I'd do this with the old one. No reason for it - I doubt I'll ever use it. The pickup is a "soft piezo" - a loop bent to be able to access the adjusting screw.

I drilled a hole for the plug and wire to go inside the instrument just under the edge of the cover plate, and a hole for the end pin jack - also enlarged the hole in the tail piece. I put some protective tape on the side of the guitar and laid out and cut the hole for the preamp.

Maybe I can't fix it, but I can fix it so no one can fix it

Pretty much self explanatory. Sounds OK.
