Good Job Jonny! It looks like a fine first effort. Did you use the MIMF plans for the L-00?
And let me welcome you to the MIMForum.

Thanks, I found plans on another site, http://www.grellier.fr/plans.php?lang=en , I'm an engineer in a factory in Belfast Northern Ireland, so I have access to lots of equipment including plotters, so I got full size plans from the above link and printed them out, I have only recently found this fourm and I'm addicted to it already, I have so many ideas in my head of what to build next, I really can't wait to get stuck into my next project, I'm glad I found such a good resource as mimf...

Hi Jonny, I live just down the coast in Wicklow about 30 miles south of Dublin. I also build and I wish my first looked as good as yours, but that was quite a while ago now, at this stage I've built about 25 and some Tele's, I can tell by your post that the "Bug" has bitten just the way it did me, they don't get easier to build but they become more fun as you get to know what your doing. I shall watch your posts with interest and I can tell you you could not have found a better forum, everything you need to know is here all you have to do is ask. P.S my first was built using William Cumpiano's Book if you don't have it I suggest you get it. Regards

Nice looking guitar Jonny. How does it sound? Did you use molds or build freehand? You might check out the Archives if you haven't already done so. They are a great source of information and inspiration.

Hi thanks for the comments , it sounds pretty good, quite bright and very loud, I'm fairly happy with how it turned out, I worked pretty much free hand from the plans I had, hot pipe to bend the sides, had to make different jigs as I went along, jigs to radius the bracing ect, but I enjoyed that just as much as actually building the guitar, note sure what to try next, I'm learning the mandolin so maybe that or a Tele or.....ill have to wait and see.

Nice! I like how the whole rosette is revealed, a feature on the old L-00s that I always liked.
