my neck pic

Post by Greg Martin »

thanks for the help on this on going archtop project. Although Ive built electrics for almost 20 years, this is my first archtop project and Im loving all the newness of it all. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. So here are a couple shots of the neck in progress. The neck wood is figured maple and walnut. The head face is ebony and back veneers are Birdseye maple and walnut logo is gold pearl. The fingerboard is cocobolo. It has black white and tortoise bindings and depaule inlays with jumbo fret wire.

I had more but only one pic showed.

I think that's a very handsome and tasty fingerboard and it seems to compliment the maple very nicely. Please try posting head stock pictures again. I'd like to see that, too!
