A few years ago (page 6 of this section) I advised of my conversion of a thickness planer to a sander. Someone suggested that the router speed controller ($30) at Harbor Freight would be a big help as the VERY high RPMs were the only major drawback.
Good news .. It works, money very well spent, and big thanks to this forum!
