How about a double neck acoustic (classical or steel string whichever they choose) Only there has to be something different like scale length or something.

I built my EDS 1275 double neck quite a while ago. It took 13 months. Its based off a picture of the earliest hollow body version and used carved quilted maple crotch mahogany and bookmatched cocobolo fingerboards. click here to check all the pics :
