Separate bridge pieces for 6 string

Post by Chris Richards »

Hi....

Quick question.... Are there any suppliers of separate bridge pieces for a 6 string guitar ?.... I'd very much like ones Hipshot do for basses.

Thank you.

ABM makes them and AllParts sells them. Search for BB-8500-002.

(Spoken in a hushed voice... looking over shoulder...) You can also find ridiculously cheap single bridges on amazon, shipped straight from China. Quality isn't terrible, but definitely not great. For a budget build, they work.

ETS hardware in Germany also makes some nice stuff, which can be ordered direct (for a price..)

Thanks for the advice.... Very few seem to do 6 string individual bridge pieces, Allparts appear to be the favourites at the moment.

Can't remember which forum I saw these on, but this is a different style individual bridge/saddle, and also for a fraction of the ABMs. (Also can't speak to their quality, but it's a much simpler design, and at that price you could switch out saddles for different finishes or styles.)

Have a look here: http://www.suntekstore.com/category-228 ... ments.html I have ordered a number of items from here. Busy building a prototype "stick" instrument.

Keith, on that link I can't find any of those bridge pieces for guitar, only bass. Maybe the bass ones could be used, but if you found any for guitar can you please post it? http://www.suntekstore.com/goods-150060 ... black.html

I'm fond on "stick" type guitars, so please post some pics if you have some.
