Just finished this one up, it's my fastest build to date! Not only that but it's like I built one of my dream guitars. I l-o-v-e the color, 1956 DeSoto. Burgundy Mist Metallic! But it's also my first baritone and I've been wanting to build one of those since I started.
I really like that! I have a baritone planned too, if I ever get to it! I'd have to have at least one single-coil pickup though...they sound great with the twang factor.
You've really captured a classic look and everything about the guitar contributes to it. I get the opportunity to work on quite a few guitars from the 60s and early seventies and always think it would be nice to build one of these but with smart modern neck specs and decent electronics. Its a beautiful guitar.

The pickups are Roadhouse Pickups Triple Crown humbuckers. He winds them with a unique coil structure that makes them very harmonically rich with excellent note separation. No sound samples yet, but we're working on making a video.
They showed up when they were first posted and now they are not there! this is exactly why we ask folks to upload and post the photos here, and not place them in a different websspace.
