I was having lunch in a Mexican restaurant yesterday and I saw hanging on the wall an instrument that I could not identify, (which isn't surprising, since I don't know that much.) Was hoping you guys could help me out. It was like a very very small guitar. About the size of a Uke, but had 6 strings. I couldn't tell if they were in courses or just 6 individual strings, but it had 6 tuners, 3L 3R. But it only had 3 frets with spacing that resembled more of a scale, like a dulcimer.
What is this thing?
What instrument is this?
