Jim's Songs

Post by Dennis Weaver »

A good buy is the DVD called "Have you heard Jim Croce Live?"

Some of Jim Croce's top Billboard Hits-

1972

"You Don't Mess Around with Jim" No. 8

"Operator (That's Not the Way It Feels)" No. 17

1973

"Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" No. 1

"I Got a Name" No. 10

"Time in a Bottle" No. 1

1974

"I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song" No. 9

"Workin' at the Car Wash Blues" No. 32

Also- Homespun has DVD guitar learning downloads where the guy nails it!

Car Wash Blues has been running in an endless loop in my head since I first read your post. Always loved his stuff, guess it's about time for me to pull out a guitar and do a bit of woodshed'ing...

He was one of those artists who had two sides. I liked the one side, with the songs like Operator, Photographs and memories, I got a name, Time in a bottle...and I pretty much hated the Bad Leroy Brown side.
