I THINK I can re- attach the neck- The original back is plywood- I can make a new maple back-- what thickness?-- also the braces for the back are gone- what kind of braces & what pattern? I don't know if the electronics are good, but that is another question- I have more time than money-- Should I just scrap it for parts?

Find some 1/8th inch birch plywood and make a back, ladder braced. Paint it blue/black to go with the rest of the guitar. Why not?

For me, unless this particular guitar had massive sentimental value, I would just strip it for parts and move on. The time it would take (If I charged my going rate) would rapidly outstrip the worth of the guitar - unless, as I've said, it has sentimental value.
