Hi,
Last summer, I finished a guitar with KTM-9. There were a lot of things I liked about this, but the way the finished guitar feels to the touch was less than desirable. The neck in particular had a lot of drag to it which got worse with perspiration. Dulling the back of the neck down with steel Not good.
I'm wondering if there is another water base lacquer that is better in this regard? One of the Target products perhaps? It seems lots of builders on this forum use EM6000. I've seen at least one snippet of discussion that suggests it has a good feel.
BTW, the Grafted Coatings trial product K-10, or Ten was outstanding in all regards including feel, I tried a 8 oz. trial sample last year this time, but it is yet to become available .

Re: Water base lacquer, drags to the touch
I use EM6000. I usually dull the back of the neck with 0000 steel wool or with bronze wool. I have never notice any traction after that treatment.
