Aluminum foil as shielding?

Post by Michael Baresi »

Yea or nay?
I was thinking of using spray adhesive to attach it.
Will it work? Any thoughts
thanks

Michael, Aluminum foil will work as long as you can make a reliable connection to it. You can buy aluminum duct tape from any HVAC supply place and probably any self-respecting hardware store too. To make a good connection simply screw a brass or nickel solder tab tight against the tape with a small wood screw and solder a wire from that to the jack's ground tab.
