I am calling both of these done. I finishesd them last weekend, and have been playing them in this week. I am very happy I joined the challenge (as always). I enjoyed watching the other builds, and as always learned some new tricks. I love the Barncaster, and the two bases. very good work. Below is the final total for the Oak travel guitar.

I really like the pine , nylon string guitar. I am glad I added it to the challenge. I have been wanting to build something from the pine scraps the carpenters toss out. It has a very nice tone. I am supprised the pine bent as well as it did, and sounds as good as it does. I may have to use it again.

I am going to take these guitars to work next week, and see what everybody thinks. I think I will leave them at work hanging in my closet, so we can play them at lunch. I am very happy with them, (I didn't expect much from the pine soundboards), but they both have a nice tone. They both lack the bass end, but are pleasant. I wish I had built these years ago when I was still camping more. They would have been a lot of fun at some of our Boy Scout campouts. I use to take my classical guitar to our car camp outs, but these could have gone on backpack outings. They would have been nice around a campfire.

These are both really great looking guitars, Patrick. No one is going to believe these are from "scraps" since they look so well put together. My favorite parts are the rosettes. Great work and glad you made it on time and under budget. Nice stuff.
