MIMF Bass!

Post by Charlie Schultz »

Many of you may have already seen it, but staff member Jim McConkey put together a nice page for our newest member-built bass (and it looks gorgeous!). Check it out here http://www.mimf.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=28. We'll be putting it up for sale soon, probably on that well-known auction site.

A huge thanks to all that contributed to it!!

I was hoping the specs would list the final weight of this beauty. Does anybody happen to know?

If I had a good scale I could weigh it- it's still in my possession as of now.

Hey Jairo! Thanks for stopping by, it's really good to see you. Thanks too for your contribution of the nice bridge for the bass.

FYI, it has just been listed on e-bay, search for "New custom 5 string electric bass from the MIMF"

I know it's against our rules, but since this is forum business, here is the direct link to the auction:

I see we got our first bid.
I'd like to send a shout out to Mark for pulling this project together and getting it done at the end.

It took a while, but I hope it's worth it! All the volunteers did great work, I wish you all could have seen it in person! Thanks David. Those knobs alone are something special.

SOLD to the highest bidder ! Someone just got themselves an amazing bass. I hope they'll report back once they get it in hand and have a chance to familiarize themselves with it.

Aw, Jeez, that's a real beauty. It certainly has an "other worldly" look to it.
