Well, I’m almost through with the acoustic bass build, I have learned a lot over the past few months, this has been quite a experience! Waiting for the nitro to cure out now- will soon post photos!

Thanks! I’m thinking that I should leave just a bit of tension on the strings to keep the sound post a bit more secure- I’m afraid that if I loosen them entirely that in the shipping process it could maybe get number enough to shake it loose- any suggestion on the tension? I have gotten to aggressive carving out my f-5 style top plate- 3.2 at the center 1.8 at the dip-could it possibly still be used? Maybe heavier tone bars or a different type of bracing?
