no, but i´m about to. already jointed and joined the paltes (for a back), will start working on it in a couple of months, if all goes well. density is around 400 g/cm3.

sorry for such a late reply, in their catalogue Barber lists both euro/mediterranean cypress (C. sempervirens) and Alaskan Yellow Cedar / Nootka Cypress (C. nootkatensis), but maybe they had something special for the fair? Thanks a lot for the debunked primer Mario! i´m gonna put it to work here (some big humidity fluctuations where i live) - i was keen on buying a sling psychrometer (or even a psycrho-dyne), but will try this first. oh, the joy of simple things!

IIRC, Trevor Gore made a guitar with a 5 piece top of radiata pine(!!!) - he said it worked out well.

Hi, Romanillos actually prefers to have a top made of 3 or more pieces and have perfect quartering all over it, than a two piece top with almost perfect quartering. who am i to question him?

Hi Miguel, That is Ceylan satinwood (Chloroxylon Swietenia). Nice wood to work with and still affordable. No pore filling needed. Pro builders begin to use it too... in spite of clients reluctance for anything different from rosewood, at least here. OK -satinwood,looks really nice. Here (Portugal) ...
